We have always travelled, and we always come back with the same question: what makes a place unforgettable? The answer is hardly ever the furniture; it is the morning light on the terrace, the sound of water, the gesture of whoever welcomes you, the feeling of having found your own nest.
The Pals' Nest comes from that very feeling: it is the name we gave our first little home in London, a 13.5-square-metre studio flat that held everything we needed. That is where our way of telling places began, with the same intimacy, care and sense of belonging.
